The space age is really never ending. There are two basic goals: one is to get your promotion ladder all the way up by earning badges; the other is to get to the center of the galaxy.
Otherwise the Space Age is a great big sandbox where you can do whatever you want.Is anyone close to the end of spore space age? or is it never ending?
There is no defined ending. The "goal" it to reach the center of the galaxy. When you get there you get a message from one of the developers then it shoots you back out of the center and you do whatever you feel like doing in the space stage. It in essence it is never ending.
