In Spore (Space stage),how do you add more ships to your fleet from one ally?

I allied the Grox,so that means my alliance with every other empire is dead.

I know there is a way to add more ships to your fleet from only one empire,but how?In Spore (Space stage),how do you add more ships to your fleet from one ally?
Well, you'd need to make friends with some older allies again - ESPECIALLY uplifted races of the same archetype as yourself have a natural +60 or something and will be predisposed to forgive you. So you can be in good shape for fixing an alliance by sheer force of good will / planetary helping / happy ray and gain allies with the Grox and others.
