I am need of some spore space stage help?

I m in the space stage of spore. I keep getting attacked by neighboring planets. They always send like fleets of planes and all i have is my own little spaceship. 1 against like 20 of theirs, and i just got in to space stage to. Is there something i m missing out on? Like you can build your own armies on planets to defend them or something?? Please help

I am need of some spore space stage help?
In the space stage, there are always people attacking your planets. Some of your planets will have enough turrets to fight off the attacks and you won't need to send your ships. Other planets will need your help. Later in the stage, you will unlock some better turrets that can help protect your planets so you won't have to keep running over to save them.



You can only add other empires to your fleet (you cannot have more of your own ships). The more you do in the game, the more slots become available for your fleet (just like in the creature phase when gradually you are able to get more creatures in your pack).



So, at the beginning, it's important that you make friends quickly. Give other empires gifts and do missions for them. As soon as you have a good relationship with them, ask for an alliance -- you can only get fleet ships from members of your alliance.



There is also an in-game guide that spells out things pretty well and gives great tips on how to handle each phase of the game. If you haven't had a chance to check it out yet, you might want to spend a few minutes reading it and seeing if it doesn't answer a lot of your questions.

In the beginning it is very overwhelming, but it gets easier dont worry. Right now do missions for your friends and get spice from your colonies for money. The attacks can actually be helpful on your homeworld because the ships drop money that helps you. Save up for the next lv weapons. After that you can take out 20-40 ships by yourself. You NEED to ally as many empires around you as possible. It will seem like you never have a free moment if you have more than 2 enemies. And lastly do NOT expand to fast. There is no rush to colonize everything right away. You will have plenty of time later. The more Star Systems you have the more targets your enemies have to attack.



ATTACKING:

Have allies attack your enemies' homeworlds will give you a little regrouping time.

Also when you attack a city dont worry about ships they just respawn.

GET bomb (mini, jumbo, ect) it works amazing for taking out cities. Once you have a steady empire and many allies around your area you will be very well off of attacks (only 1 pirate raid ever 20-25minutes)



DEFENDING:

I personally dont like turrets, but many do. The pros of turrets are that they protect your turrets. The cons are that they are expensive and slow you spice production. If you run missions for other empires then get turrets so you dont have to run home so much. If you are a spice trader (like me) max spice trade and little to no turrets. (This works better when you have no enemies. So attack them and take out their cities.

Lastly do NOT worry about pirates they waste your precious time.I am need of some spore space stage help?
Actually. I have had the same problem as you . you are having the same problem as everybody. the space stage just sucks. I know, it takes a while to absorb but the space age just SUCKS. Seriously the quicker you return the game the better
